We were made welcome from the first moment we arrived. The hotel was spotless, comfortable and staff were very friendly. The staff were able to speak very good English so we had no trouble in being understood. Staff were very helpful with travel suggestions and arrangements. 5 days of peace and quiet. Couldn't be better.

Staff were friendly. Welcome was nice. Personal attention to guests is also noteworthy. Overall nice place to have a weekend break or a small trip.

Pleasant staff

1- Charged Parking, although around free parking is available. 2- Lack of AC, temperature was high 35C !! 3- No Internet ( free or charge). 4- Heavy metal room key (really ancient fashion design). Should be replaced with cards. 5-Location

The staff and owners were lovely. Our room was comfortable and breakfast very good.The garden with its tables and chairs and sun lounges was a lovely place to relax after a day out.

Minor hiccups were that English speaking news programs were only available in the morning by evening they were gone. This was a mystery to the owners too. Also on the first night we were there the heating didn't work in our room, the other members of our group had heating. A lovely receptionist quickly provided us with a heater.

We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who helped us, in good English, to find our location and a choice of restaurants. Staff were always attentive and welcoming.

It had a beautiful spacious room with balcony overlooking a pleasant garden. Breakfast was served in an immaculate room with fine table linen and candles, and a good selection too. The hotel is quietly located but a short walk from the centre and all facilities.

I liked everything at this hotel. The stuff was amazing and so friendly. If I have to stay again at this hotel, I surely will.

This was a return to the Hotel Edelweiss for us and it was even more charming and beautiful than we remember. Our hosts, Bridgette and Johann, remembered us, and treated us warmly and like VIPs, letting us choose our room (which turned out to be a beautiful suite) and even sent up wine for us to enjoy in our room. We've never been so welcomed and felt so important. The facilities are wonderful and the Bavarian breakfast is fantastic. We will always return here when visiting Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

My room wasn't ready when I got there to check-in because I was there a few hours before check-in time. The owner promptly sent someone to ready a room and offered me a beverage while I waited less than 10 minutes for the room to be finished. The next morning at breakfast the owner remembered my name and greeted me by name.

Excellent hotel in a quiet location which was just a short 10 minute walk to shops, restaurants etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel garden was beautiful. Breakfast is superb with a very wide range of items available.

Our 2 families thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Hotel Edelwiess Garni. We were warmly greeted by all staff, everyone was so accommodating, knowlegeable and friendly, the views were spectacular, the garden was beautiful and inviting, the breakfasts were outstanding, ample and so delicious, plus the location near the downtown Garmisch city center was quiet and picturesque. We couldn't have been more happy and delighted by our choice of quaint Bavarian hotels as the Hotel Edelweiss Garni. Simply a 5 star choice! We cannot wait to return! Vielen Herzlichen Dank, Hans U. Room was nice. We stayed in typical swiss type chalet in the top floor with balcony. Breakfast was excellent
